QBS started from a place of both excitement and frustration. I have always loved reading and art, so when I discovered special edition book subscription boxes, you can only imagine how excited I was. The sub boxes had been around a while before I ever came across them, so there were quite a few to choose from, which was both amazing and overwhelming. It was really hard to sort through so many options and keep track of what each box was doing. I found it difficult to keep up with all of the pre-orders and to remember what books were being chosen for the subs.

I started searching for an account or site that had all of the information I wanted to know in one place. And while I found such amazing accounts and blogs that were doing an AMAZING job of tracking some of what I was looking for, I realized that none had everything I needed in one centralized, and user-friendly, place. So, I decided to create my an excel spreadsheet to start tracking things myself. Quickly, I realized that a spreadsheet wasn't going to be sufficient! I needed something bigger, something that could hold all of the info I wanted, and something I could share with other people looking for the same thing that I was....

So... QBS Database was created! (And is still being created.) With no prior experience with web design or content creation, launching this database was a huge learning curve, and still is. Keeping QBS up to date requires a lot of time and effort, but it is also such a joy for me! I have so many ideas of features to add here for you all that I can't wait to share!
