Book Description:

"The fates created the Gods to ensure peace within their kingdoms. The Gods are the most powerful beings in all the realms, which means nothing can stop them from abusing the power that was given to them.

For decades, the Gods abused fae, humans, and other beings alike. To restore the balance, the fates created the one creature that can kill even a God.

The Dragon's hellfire can kill any being it touches, making Gods and Dragons mortal enemies.

King Granger of the dragons is a force to be reckoned with. He has not been seen since the war of the dragons began, and his father was brutally murdered in the war. He never wanted to be king, but he will protect his people from any unwanted beings.

Capri, Daughter of King Ragnar, must go to Beithir, Kingdom of the Dragons, for a mission. Her mission? Take over Beithir, either alongside their King or by force. If she fails, her father, the God king, will kill her mother."

QBS Review:

The Court of Unforgiving Gods hooks you from the start. This introduction to Moore's magical world of warring dragon-shifters and gods has only left me needing more - I can't wait to see where she takes Capri's story in the next one.

What I Liked:

💫The worldbuilding! Moore has created a unique world with power and magic systems unlike other romantasy books I've read. Capri and her family are gods, and yet they still answer to the Fates, an even greater power that created the dragon shifters as a means to balance the gods' unrivaled power. Moreover, the Fates, the gods, and the dragon shifters are not the only beings in this world - you also have werewolves, fae, humans, etc. There is a complex history between these magical beings that is still being unraveled, leaving you needing to know more.

💫Capri, our FMC! She is really everything you want from an FMC - she is powerful, strong, confident, and yet humble and kind all at the same time. Her heart is pure, and yet she is smart - she doesn't fall into the usual traps of naivety that those around her assume she will. I also loved the dynamic Capri has with her mother.

💫King Granger!! As usual, I don't want to say too much about our love story because it is best enjoyed without hints or spoilers. But it is a good one!! The chemistry is there, the believability is there, the banter is there. Give me a protective yet supportive MMC and I will be happy. 💫Moore's writing. Anytime I read an author I haven't read before, I am a little bit nervous because the writing can make or break a good story for me. But I loved the way Moore delivered this story. The best feeling for me is when reading starts to feel like watching a movie in my mind, and Moore's writing easily brought this out of me.

This is the book for you if....

🦋You are a fan of fated mates and shifters

🦋You love a FMC discovering her found family in predominantly male spaces

🦋You enjoy a story where the FMC already knows she is powerful

Thank you to Abby Moore for providing mean ARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
